Last week at the Bay Area Street Pantry | August 18, 2023
Our volunteers and partners at the Melrose Branch Library of Oakland helped us hand out 2,300 pounds of free food to 100 households. That equated to 433 people in the Bay Area being fed!
Earlier this month, we also provided food during Melrose’s Night Out party. Together, we provided 80 additional households with free food, totaling 1,300 pounds of food for 320 people!
The fundraiser to help repair our van is still in need of donations! The vehicle is used and we need to replace both back tires, get a tune-up, and the breaks need to be checked. This van has made a huge difference in the amount of food that we have been able to provide our patrons and we would like to continue to be able to do so. If you can, please donate! If you can’t donate, please share the campaign
As stated in our last newsletter, we will only be sending 1 newsletter to your email inbox per month. To view all of our weekly newsletters and articles, please make sure to check our Substack regularly.
